It’s that time again! I have designed a styling concept board for you, for Christmas with a hint of Paris.
Just the right amount of glitz and glam. Not too much.
Color Palette
I love a more muted holiday palette. Have you ever considered revising your holiday color palette and decor? The main color palette for this theme: Green, light yellow-green, raspberry red, dusty rose, gold/copper metallics, white/creme, and hints of black and brown or grey.
I pulled the inspiration for this concept board from a photograph ( highlighted in the board above) from Living Etc. by Simon Bevan, styled by Lucy Gough..
...as well as from the Paris painting with the greens and pinks.
Deco Highlights, for you to see up close
Paris chic mini marble table
Don’t you just adore the mini marble and brass drinks table! It’s like Parisian moderne cafe table for your home.
Paired with the soft velvet of the art deco inspired chair = fabulous! Christmas decor doesn’t have to be made specifically for Christmas.
Soft velvety green chair
The star of the room in art deco style. Sophisticated glam with just the right amount of shine from the streamlined legs in gold.
Glorious beeswax candles
Exceptional candles from Normandy, France. A timeless object, the Trudon candle reflects exceptional know-how from waxing to packaging. Even today, each label is centered and affixed by hand! Support the Orne Black Bee Conservatory with your purchase and add a wonderful glow to your home.
This globe!
Isn’t this globe magical? Peer into this crystal sphere for winter dreams and Christmas magic.
Nod to candy canes!
Add a hint of candy cane to your holiday space.
Contemporary herringbone wool area rug adds color and a cheerful pattern.
Boxwood Wreath
These beauties can last an average of 5 years and make a lovely alternative to faux wreaths. Personally I love to decorate a wreath for different seasons. You can get really creative!
Delightful cushion
Whimsical reindeer add a sophisticated charm to your space.
With a hint of gold, this modern print of reindeer complements any decor from contemporary, traditional or vintage and eclectic.
Sweet Topiary
This pairing of tabletop topiary adds a sweet touch or Christmas. Add a few twinkling lights, mini sparking ornaments or glittery strands.
Small figurines at the base for a traditional yet whimsical touch- whatever your taste is, these trees can complement it.
Rubies oh la la!
This chunky ruby colored vase adds texture and interest to the holiday space. Something unique to hold delicate, whispy, branches in silver, white, or gold.. or whatever you fancy. It’s lovely as a stand alone piece too.
10 Paris Chic Christmas Decorating Ideas
How can you incorporate some or all of these pieces in your home? How to use the board for inspiration. I’d love to see what you do! Please share with me.
1 Get ideas from the color palette for inspiration. Use what you have at home already or add in new pieces.
2 Use the board as inspiration for the theme of a room. Order some or all of the items, use what you have, or mix and match adding in some new pieces.
3 Dress your space up more for Christmas by personalizing and adding in your own lights and ornaments on the table top topiaries, for example,
4 For crafty folks, perhaps you’re inspired to create new Christmas stockings with a color and feel of this board. Striped, toned down reds and greens in silk or velvet, for example.
5 Make your own tonal book display. Group books by color and tie a ribbon around them.
6 Use colored glass for tea light holders or indulge in the special handcrafted French candles available to shop from the board.
7 Add tiny bows or frosted balls to the boxwood wreath.
8 Instead of, or in addition to a snow globe, display natural crystals in white or pale blues for a frosty winter look.
9 Change the lampshades. You could have special ones just for the season!
10 Switch up the area rugs. They don’t have to scream Christmas.
